My apologies to all my readers who have not been in final salary pension schemes but this is such a hot topic that I need to come back to it time and time again.
The headline figure has just been released by The Pension Regulator following a freedom of information request. Some 70% of regulated financial advisers also reported that transfers would form a greater part of their business in the next year.
Although the figures are huge they still represent a tiny fraction of the people who still have benefits in final salary schemes from previous employments.
If you are in that position please, please, pay attention. Transfer values are at an all time high and if you wish you can gain access to the money from age 55. This is not right for everyone and although I cannot give regulated advice my guidance will help you to decide whether this is something you need to take seriously or not.
Rather than repeat all that has been said in previous blogs here are the links:
Yes, I know that’s a lot of reading but this is your money and it deserves your attention. In the 30 years plus that I was a Financial Adviser I never had clients getting as excited about their pensions as current clients are about getting control of their pension funds. Often hundreds of thousands of pounds and in one recent case just short of £2 million. As the blog headline above says “that’s a lot of money“.
How do you start the process? Just text 07770 575122 with “Pension Transfer” in the heading and I will send you a draft letter to send to your pension provider to get all the information you need. When you get the reply give me a ring and we can have a preliminary meeting at a cost of just £125 (that’s a 50% discount – just quote discount code 80,000).
PS. Not enough people know about this. Please use the buttons below to share as widely as you can. Who knows you could be about to become a hero to one of your friends or colleagues!
