Unclaimed pension pots

£19.4 billion unclaimed pension pots. Is any of it yours?

Yet another reason why reviewing your pension arrangements should be close to the top of your “to-do” list.

But where do you start? Only 9% of UK adults use a Financial Adviser. Finding one prepared to help if you only have modest funds is virtually impossible and your pension provider will probably not be authorised to give you advice. They will provide you with information about your plan but not guidance about what to do next.

That is where The Retirement Coach programme can help. Most of our clients use one of the online financial services platforms such as Hargreaves Lansdown or Fidelity. Whilst we cannot give personal advice we can provide the coaching, guidance, education and information to enable you to use those services in a user-friendly and cost-effective way.

Hargreaves Lansdown already has more than one million clients which is not surprising given how few people have access to an advisor. The problem is that however good their, or their competitors, platforms are it is virtually impossible to use them in a truly effective way without some help and guidance.

With over 30 years’ experience as a regulated financial adviser and 10 years’ experience of using Hargreaves Lansdown for my own investments/pension as well as for family, friends and clients I have developed a number of services which can help you wherever you are in your retirement planning journey.

All I ask is that you start with an open mind, are prepared to give this some attention, and can make decisions for yourself once you have all the facts. If that is you and you would like to understand what is happening to your money, where you are on your retirement journey, and to be confident that, with the right planning, the outcome will be ok the starting point is to book in for a complimentary Zoom discussion using the link below.

Retirement Risk Zone: If you are in what I call “The Retirement Risk Zone“ – the three years before retirement and the three years after – this is a particularly important time for you so do please get in touch, just use this link to book a free 30-minute Zoom chat. Make the wrong decision now and it could have a major impact on your lifestyle for the rest of your life.

Ps. The  best link, if all you need to do is to track an old pension, is https://www.gov.uk/find-pension-contact-details

This document and our on going services are not personal advice. We'll give you all the help and guidance you need to make your investment and retirement decisions, but we can't advise you. If you're not sure whether you need regulated financial advice we can put you in touch with a suitably qualified and experienced regulated adviser. Because we are not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority you will not have access to the Financial Ombudsman Service in respect of any complaints. If you use one of the "no advice" on line services to handle investment transactions they will be Regulated and you will have access to the Ombudsman and The Financial Compensation Scheme in respect of their services. The value of investments/pension plans can fall or rise depending on market performance.
